The Senior Director, Billing will play a pivotal part in optimizing our billing processes and financial systems, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.  The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of successfully implementing finance transformation strategies within a SaaS environment.

Responsibilities Include:

Finance Transformation Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive financial transformation strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Train and mentor billing staff, providing guidance and support as needed

Billing Process Optimization

• Assess and enhance billing processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Complete billing migration from our proprietary billing system to Salesforce billing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the order-to-cash processes
• Oversee and manage the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes
• Monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, addressing any billing-related inquiries or concerns

System Integration and Enhancement

• Oversee the integration and optimization of financial systems, ensuring seamless interoperability between billing, finance, and other related platforms
• Evaluate, select, and implement advanced billing solutions to support evolving business needs

Compliance and Risk Management

• Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting billing and financial operations
• Implement and monitor robust compliance measures, minimizing risk and ensuring adherence to industry standards

Strategic Planning

• Collaborate with executive leadership to align finance transformation initiatives with the overall business strategy
• Provide insights and recommendations to drive financial performance and operational excellence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA or advanced degree preferred, and/or 10 or more years’ experience in billing
• Experience leading system implementations
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
• In-depth knowledge of billing systems, financial processes, and SaaS business models
• Proficient in using billing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of billing regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
• Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
